The swipe that started it all...

In November of 2023 we matched on Hinge, not knowing quite how impactful a small swipe on a screen could be.

One of us was more unserious than the other... for one of us, they knew that the girl they could see in front of them, was different. So different in fact, there was a propelling desire to speak to, to meet, and to hopefully be with this girl in the future.

A few pictures and prompts suddenly meant so much more than just an insight into somebody's life. That small insight into Nicole told me everything I needed to know, and was enough for me to not stop trying until you were mine.

We were getting along and things progressed onto Instagram

Until you unfollowed me...

In March we began talking again

After I decided to follow you again, you surprisingly followed me back!

We quickly fell into a habit of talking every day and I even started doing your coursework

As we became closer, we moved onto WhatsApp, which meant a new nickname for me and led us to have our first phone call

After one call I knew I wanted to hear your voice everyday and I asked if I was just getting the one call

We began to talk to each other a lot... and I mean A LOT!

We attempted to meet... but failed

But as ever, we never gave up. And eventually, you booked your flight to London!

It is from here that our adventure together really began
